36-inch Water Transmission Main Break
Just after 6:00 a.m. on August 1, 2023, the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) discovered a leak on a 36-inch water transmission main on 24 Mile near North Avenue.
Due to a large drop in water pressure, and out of an abundance of caution, GLWA is issuing a mandatory Boil Water Advisory for the following five communities: Chesterfield Township, Lenox Township, Macomb Township, New Haven, and the city of Rochester (Rochester east, GLWA District).
